Your child may need help with a tutorial, learning Spanish in other ways beside a strict grammar approach…these classes are for the struggling student too!
Beginner
The following will be embedded into themes and stories will help us to begin making meaning of vocabulary:
Basic concepts like numbers, the alphabet, cognates, simple phrases, survival strategies, present tense, indicating future, time and weather terms and interrogatives (question words), introduction to past tenses.
Intermediate
The following will be embedded into themes and stories will help us to begin making meaning of vocabulary at this level: Present, past (preterite & imperfect review, introduction to future & conditional.
Intermediate II
Review of both simple past tenses, future and conditional. Formation of compound tenses with the use of estar and haber are introduced.
Intermediate III
Fluent conversational opportunities begin. Ability to speak in a communicative way has emerged through your previous study across tenses!
Advanced
You should be able to continuously speak in Spanish without hesitation and be able to follow the instruction and conversation without delay. These classes provide practice with others, strengthening your fluency.
Together we will choose a novel and newspaper articles to follow. Students will read throughout the course, and come together to discuss viewpoints while continuing to become more fluent in Spanish.
